We want to support community celebrations and events, particularly those that give local talent a chance to be showcased. This fund is designed to receive applications for events and projects where this is either central to the activity or where there is a significant element of public engagement. We are pleased for this to be across any art form or theme important to the North Kensington communities.
Applications are now open for round one of our Celebrations & Events Grant for 2024/25, covering events to take place between May - September 2024. £45,000 is available in round one. A further £25,000 available in round two, which will be launched in October 2024 for events taking place over winter 2024/25.
Please note: we expect this grant programme to be extremely competitive. Last year, we received 87 applications, to a total value of £195,877. We distributed £67,049 to 37 local organisations. You can see a full list of successful recipients from 2023/24 here.

Deadline
All applications for round one must be received by 5pm on Tuesday 30 April 2024.
The maximum grant awarded is £2,500 for any one event regardless of collaborations or partnerships between organisations.
Applications will be assessed within week of the deadline, with all applicants notified of the outcome by Friday 10 May 2024.
Events on the Westway estate
If you are applying for funding to host an event on the Westway estate, you will be asked to apply for a license for the space before your funding is released. You can apply for licenses to host events on different parts of the Westway estate.
Applicants should allow a minimum of six weeks for the license application process.
If your license for space on the Westway estate is unsuccessful, you will be asked to provide evidence of permission to host the event elsewhere before any funding is released.
Where possible, we support local community groups and individuals to hold events in North Kensington, through space hire or equipment loan.
