Services & Support
Our Learning Service team is dedicated to providing support and direct delivery of services for people in our community who benefit from it the most.
We run programmes and courses aimed at tackling isolation, particularly to families for whom English is not their first language spoken at home.
Now more than 2 years since the tragedy of the Grenfell Tower fire, our Grenfell & Wider Support Coordinator Joanna provides advocacy, support and referrals for:
- Hardship Awards
- Children's Activities
- Schooling Issues
- Counselling referrals
- Relaxation therapy referrals
- Supplementary Schools
If you have a housing issue, Shelter have drop in sessions on Tuesdays at Westway Trust offices. To book an appointment contact Joanna, via email on firstname.lastname@example.org or phone on 07824 141 412.
Working with our Traveller community
Our Learning Services team also delivers a mini club for children under eight for North Kensington's Traveller community twice a week. Activities include reading, arts & crafts and fun science projects.
To celebrate St.Patrick's Day 2019 the mini club made collage shamrocks and green necklaces. We spoke to some of the students about the work that they were doing and how they celebrate St.Patrick's day. Take a look at the video below.
