John, Annie and Tomo, in our Gardening Team have been doing amazing work with One Community. One Community, founded by Cate Latto, is a service user-led movement dedicated to empowering people with mental health conditions.
The partnership began in 2019 and helps patients from St Charles Psychiatric Intensive Care Wards plant in the hospital allotments. Learn more in the the NHS Central and North West London article: One Community goes greener with new biodiversity initiatives.
More recently One Community have started a Friday group at Bay 20 Community Centre. Tomo and John will be building a raised bed outside of Bay 20 for use as a therapy garden. Look out for the new addition later this year.
