Westway Trust is seeking freelance Fundraising Consultants to support local, charitable, voluntary, and community organisations in North Kensington. This role is an opportunity to work directly with grassroots organisations to help them secure external funding for their essential work.
About the role
As a Fundraising Consultant, you will be matched with organisations whose objectives align with Westway Trust’s charitable purpose and who focus on the communities in North Kensington. Your role will be to provide professional guidance and support in identifying and securing funding opportunities, ensuring that these organisations can continue to serve their communities effectively.
Key responsibilities
- Work with community organisations to develop tailored fundraising strategies.
- Support the preparation of high-quality funding applications.
- Guide organisations in identifying and applying for external funding opportunities.
- Assist in aligning funding applications to grant criterion set by funders.
- Collaborate with Westway Trust to ensure a strategic and impactful approach to fundraising.
- Provide a comprehensive report on completion of each project.
What we’re looking for
- Proven experience in fundraising, grant writing, or business development for charities or social enterprises.
- Strong understanding of the funding landscape for community organisations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently while maintaining strong collaboration with multiple stakeholders.
- Experience working with organisations that serve diverse and underrepresented communities.
