Dr Weifeng Chen | Reader in Innovation Management and Strategy Brunel University of London
Dr Chen is a Reader in Innovation Management and Strategy at Brunel Business School and Programme Director of the MSc in AI Strategy. His research focuses on how organisations—particularly in public and third sectors—can harness emerging technologies like Artificial Intelligence to drive sustainable innovation, inclusion, and impact.
With over 20 years of international experience, Dr Chen has worked with NGOs, charities, UN agencies, and government bodies on innovation strategy and digital transformation. He has led AI-focused projects in healthcare, construction, and governance, and has published widely in top-tier journals including Technological Forecasting & Social Change and the Journal of Business Research. His current work explores how third sector organisations can use AI responsibly to amplify their mission and serve communities more effectively. As a passionate educator and advisor, he brings practical insights into the opportunities and ethical tensions of AI adoption in resource-constrained environments. Dalim Basu MBE FBCS CITP | Chairman, BCS London Branches , British Computer Society
Dalim Basu was awarded an MBE in January 2025 as “Honorary Chair and Volunteer, British Computer Society, North, Central and South London Branches. For services to Young People and Promotion of Science and Technology.” He serves as voluntary Chairman of the London Branches at BCS - the Chartered Institute for IT.
Dalim’s voluntary/charitable work experience includes:
● Over 10 years at ISACA London Chapter as Board member, Events Director and international conference speaker, helping ISACA members and others to improve understanding of the world of IT-related risk.
● Over 4 decades at BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT. He is committed to helping make IT good for Society.
His professional experience spans over four decades, delivering quality results at leading 'Big Four' and financial/business services firms at a global level. He has worked with major organisations including PwC, KPMG, Chase Manhattan Bank, ITN, LBMS, Lehman Brothers, Lloyds Banking Group, Mitsubishi, Mizuho Bank, Nomura, Shell, and Zurich.
