Centre for Urban Sustainability

Westway Trust has engaged with architects, Civic London, and potential stakeholders to develop a proposal for a Centre for Urban Sustainability. The proposed Centre is part of the plans for improving the Maxilla area which was not possible within the Community Street Project, but was identified as an area in need of investment.  

This pioneering project aims to embed a culture of sustainability within our communities at a transformative level. It has the potential to bring local people together to build a main node in a network of excellence in North Kensington, bringing  environmental education, research and green skills to the Borough. This will also ensure that local communities can develop their voice for environmental justice and ways to sustain themselves in a challenging and changing environment.
