Westway Sports Bursaries

Together with Everyone Active, we distribute £40,000 in sports bursaries every year to residents of North Kensington. 

The bursary programme provides successful applicants with one of the following services available at Everyone Active, delivered through either the Westway Sports & Fitness Centre or  Westway Portobello Fitness Club: 

• 12 month Gym Membership to use either Westway Sports & Fitness Centre (gym only) and Westway Portobello Fitness Club (gym and classes) 
• Climbing - 6 month course, Wild Climbers ages 5-7 
• Climbing - 6 month course, NICAS, ages 7+ 
• Climbing - 12 months subsidised course, ages 5-7, Wild Climbers 
• Climbing - 12 months subsidised courses, ages 7+, NICAS 
• Climbing - 12 months membership for climbing wall, ages 16+ 
• Tennis - 12 months Pay & Play sessions, September to July, 38 weeks 
• Football | One Year Registration to Football Skills Programme Sessions for ages 5-15 | September to July (38 weeks) 
• Football | One Year Registration to Westway FC Youth Team (U8-U13) | Training and Matches | September to July (38 weeks) 

Who We Fund:

All applicants must meet the following criteria:

• Live in one of the five wards of North Kensington (Dalgarno, Colville, Notting Dale, St Helen’s, Golborne)
• Demonstrate a commitment to sports and fitness/health
• Be in receipt of one or more of the following benefits, and be able to provide proof of benefits as outlined here
  • Universal credit or Income Support
  • Personal Independence Payment (PIP)
  • Job Seekers Allowance (JSA)
  • Employment & Support Allowance (ESA)
  • Disability Living Allowance
  • Pension Credit
  • Carers allowance
  • Child tax credits
  • Working tax credits
  • Housing Benefit
  • Council Tax Support

Deadline

We have now reached the maximum number of applications for this year’s bursary programme and, as a result, have had to close the application window earlier than planned.
