Our Constitution
Our Constitution sets out the principles and procedures by which Westway Trust is governed and our work is overseen by our Trustees.
Our Trustees have overall control of the Trust and are responsible for making sure it’s running properly and doing what it was created to do. This includes ensuring that we:
- Use our resources sensibly, on activities that are in line with our organisational aims and purposes.
- Don’t break the rules outlined in our Articles – the governing document.
- Continue to meet our commitments to the communities we serve in accordance with our charitable objectives.
- Follow the law, including preparing reports and accounts to send to the Charity Commission.
Annual General Meeting
We hold an Annual General Meeting (AGM) once a year, bringing together our trustees, members, community partners and local people to review the Trust’s work and finances over the past year. It’s a chance for everyone to hear directly from our Trustees and Executive Team, ask questions and have their say. We also review the annual accounts and vote on key decisions. The AGM plays a vital role in making sure the Trust stays open and transparent. an open and transparent organisation. Our AGM for the financial year 1 April 2023 – 31 March 2024 was held at The Serbian Club on Thursday 27 March 2025.
