Westway Trust wishes to inform the communities it serves that following a thorough and careful review of our operational capacity, financial sustainability, and the evolving landscape of community services provision, the Board of Trustees has concluded that Westway Trust will be closing its Children’s Services department, including the Nursery and Crèche provisions, with immediate effect.
This was an extraordinarily difficult decision, and one that was not arrived at lightly. Children’s Services has always represented some of the most meaningful and impactful work undertaken by Westway Trust, and the weight of this decision reflects just how deeply we value the people these services have touched. The relationships formed within our Children’s Services represent a legacy of warmth, dedication, and genuine community spirit that will endure beyond the closure of these provisions.
To the families who have been part of our Nursery and Crèche community: thank you for the trust you have placed in us. We are committed to working with each affected family individually to ensure a smooth and supported transition, and we will do everything within our means to connect families with alternative provisions and local support networks.
We are grateful to every member of staff who has been part of this journey. Your contribution to the lives of children in our community has been immeasurable, and we thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
