We were deeply saddened to hear the news of the death of Professor Jason Arday. He came to speak to the Westway Trust and an invited audience on 14 January 2026. He shared his views on the Value of a Diverse Education and was so generous with his time that he stayed on and answered a number of other questions on a range of topics.
We were very thankful for his inspiring contribution and would like to express our gratitude, and send our heartfelt condolences to his family.
The events and behaviours surrounding Jason’s death raise serious questions for us all around the misuse of social media, racism and the targeting of individuals by the mainstream media. We will want to raise further discussion about this at a later date.
