This 6-week course focuses on the essential elements of wellbeing in the Early Years.
Each week includes a balance of knowledge and practical advice, with opportunities throughout for learners to collaborate and reflect on their learning with others. Each class will also include some gentle movement.
The relationship between physical and mental health in children and adults will be threaded through the course and a range of practical strategies suggested to best manage the stresses and strains of everyday life.
Each session will include physical movement, a teacher presentation, group discussions and journaling.
Please bring a bottle of water/snacks and wear something comfortable that you will be happy to move around in (each session starts with some gentle movement)
We will not be providing hot drinks or food.
We will provide you with a course handbook and a journal. Please bring a pen.
You will get feedback in all group discussions. We can give individual feedback on your journal.
Next steps could include the Open University’s supporting physical development in early childhood free on-line course.
Fees exemption applies if you are in receipt of state benefits, on a low income (under £28, 860 per year) and have residential status.
