EPCA (Eritrean Parents and Children Association) has proudly served the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea for over 30 years. We support children, young people, and families—primarily from the Eritrean and wider BAME communities—while welcoming people from all backgrounds.
Every Saturday, we run a supplementary school at Morley College, offering Arabic and cultural studies, Maths and English classes, homework clubs, and tailored revision sessions for Year 6 and Year 11 students. These sessions help our young people bridge educational gaps, gain confidence in their studies, and prepare for key exams. We also provide mentoring and extra-curricular activities that build social skills, resilience, and a sense of belonging.
In addition, we run after-school football training for U10, U14, U16, and U18 groups (3–5pm), giving young people the chance to socialise, do something they enjoy, and compete in local football tournaments—some of which they have won, helping to boost their confidence and pride.
We also support SEND children and young people and create opportunities for residents to volunteer, gain experience, and reconnect with their community.
Our work tackles deprivation, inequality, social isolation, language barriers, and economic hardship, fostering a real sense of belonging and community.
Looking ahead, we aim to expand our supplementary school, develop youth leadership programs, deliver mental health and wellbeing workshops, improve accessibility for SEND and marginalised groups, and build stronger partnerships with local schools and community organisations.
