Serving our Communities
We are pleased to announce that Westway Trust has been successfully appointed as the Wellbeing Support Lead for the North Kensington Recovery Programme by the NHS. This important role supports the ongoing health and wellbeing of Survivors, Bereaved, and Grenfell affected communities.
We are excited to work with our communities over the coming months and years to build and deliver this programme, as well as with our NHS partners and stakeholders. This will include new Wellbeing Support Grants and providing capacity building for local organisations. Westway Trust has already delivered 1,200 grants to individuals and organisations in the last five years, including for Grenfell Anniversary Remembrance. We are committed to making this programme high quality, culturally relevant, trauma-informed, accessible, and responsive to changing community needs.
The programme will run for three years, providing a platform for ongoing community-led recovery and wellbeing support.
How can I get involved?
We know that the strength, wisdom and recovery of our neighbourhood sits within our local communities, particularly those directly affected by the Grenfell Tower tragedy. We are currently laying the foundations for the new wellbeing support grants, and we are inviting members of the North Kensington community to help shape in the development of the programme.
Whether you want to receive updates, offer your time, or join working and advisory groups, we want to hear from you. We welcome residents, volunteers and local organisations to get involved.
