Celebrating the Bay 56 Pledge – 1 Year Anniversary
A free celebration marking one year since Westway Trust’s historic pledge to the African Caribbean communities of North Kensington
A year ago, on 3 September 2025, around 150 people and organisations gathered under the Westway flyover to witness Westway Trust formally pledge that Bay 56 will remain under African Caribbean community leadership for the full duration of the Trust’s lease (currently 75 years), including any future extensions.
This September, we come together again to celebrate that milestone, honour the legacy it represents, and look ahead to the future it protects for generations to come.
Join us for an afternoon of free food, music, games, quizzes, and arts and craft activities, plus three guided walking tours of the Westway Estate focused on African Caribbean achievements. More details will follow shortly.
Walking Tours – African Caribbean Achievements across the Westway Estate
- 3 tours available, each approx. 2 hours
- Limited to 20 people per walk.
- Choose your preferred walk when you register:

- Walk B: 4.15pm
- Walk C: 4.30pm
- Each walk returns to Bay 56 to rejoin the celebration
