Net Zero Strategy

Westway Way Trust is committed to achieving Net Zero by 2040.

Our vision is a thriving North Kensington, where sustainability is achieved through the social, economic, personal and environmental well-being of our communities.

Our commitment to Net Zero entails an ongoing programme of activity which the Trust has invested in across several years, including:

• A comprehensive Sustainability Audit of the Westway Trust estate conducted by Introba
• An implementation workplan for the Audit recommendations to be delivered by our Property, Facilities and Technical Services Lead, overseen by our Property and Place Committee
• Meaningful community engagement opportunities on sustainability including capacity and skills-building programmes, volunteering opportunities and partnerships with environmental groups
• Regular training for staff on positive climate action and sustainability

Additionally, we are partners on a number of externally funded Environmental initiatives, partnering with the GLA, Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea , National Lottery, and others, to continue bringing resource, skills and expertise into the Trust and our communities for a sustainable future for all.
