Westway Trust shortlisted for two Kensington, Chelsea & Westminster Business Awards

We’re delighted to announce that we have been selected as finalists in two prestigious categories at the 2025 Kensington, Chelsea & Westminster Business Awards, hosted by the Chamber of Commerce.

This recognition reflects years of dedicated work with our North Kensington communities and marks a significant milestone in our ongoing transformation. A huge thanks goes to our team, local communities and partners for being part of this journey.

We have been shortlisted in the following categories:

  • Excellence in Diversity and Inclusion.
  • Charity and Social Enterprise of the Year.

Our nomination is underpinned by a series of impactful local initiatives, including:

  • A targeted business support programme for underrepresented groups, with a 400% increase in investment this year.
  • A pilot innovation programme focused on community-led economic development.
  • A forward-thinking Equality, Diversity & Inclusion (EDI) Policy and Strategy designed to ensure accessibility and inclusion.
  • A progressive Anti-Racism Policy and Reparation Framework.
  • A Land Justice Management approach that promotes meaningful community participation in land use decisions.

Venu Dhupa, CEO of Westway Trust, commented:

Being named a finalist in two categories is a significant moment for the Trust as we continue our journey of transformation. Our overarching goal is to better serve our beneficiaries, and this recognition reflects the collective effort of our staff, partners, and stakeholders in driving cultural change and community impact.

While we didn’t take home the award this time, we’re truly honoured to have been nominated and grateful for the recognition of our work with local communities.
