Gardening Volunteers

We are looking for green-fingered enthusiasts, organisations wanting to support the local environment or people interested in learning about gardening to volunteer with our gardening team, to help shape the green canvas around the Westway.

You can get involved in propagation, planting and watering flower beds and borders; pruning shrubs and trees and encouraging wildlife into the area by re-designing under-developed areas of green space across the estate. There are also hard landscaping opportunities for anyone with building or DIY experience.

Whether you are an individual who can commit time regularly or an organisation that wants to help out as a one-off, everyone is welcome.

We are looking for anyone with passion – not just experts, and we will train and support people with limited experience.

For more information please email our Postcode Gardener Liz Moxon

We found the day very rewarding and also really enjoyable. Everything was so well organized, and we were impressed (with ourselves) how much we managed to accomplish. I found that having an actual project with clearly visible results was excellent. Some of us are now planning to have a look again at the garden, just to see how the plants are doing.
