    Fundraising Support

One of the most impactful ways we can support community organisations and groups is to provide professional support in attracting external funding for their projects. We would like to provide professional support in seeking external funding for organisations whose objectives align with Westway Trust's charitable purpose. A fundraising pipeline calendar has been produced which identifies funding opportunities throughout the year. If your organisation is interested in applying for one of these funds but requires professional support in building your funding application, please complete our expression of interest form. A member of our team will review your expression of interest and triage your request to one of our professional fundraising support agencies for further discussion. ***While we will do our best to match successful applicants with a Fundraising Consultant in a timely manner,  there is currently a backlog of applicants waiting to be matched. Thank you for your patience.*** Eligibility  We will support local social enterprises, and charitable, voluntary and community organisations based in the 5 wards of North Kensington (Golborne, Colville, Notting Dale, St Helens and Dalgarno). Organisations must demonstrate a particular focus on the communities living in North Kensington, in and around the Westway. The aim of the fundraising support fund is to partner community organisations, whose objectives align with Westway Trust’s charitable purpose, with fundraising consultants who will work with the organisation to attract external funding. We will focus on investing in organisations who are looking to address at least one of the six key priority areas for the Trust, which were recently identified by social researchers Hatch Regeneris. These are: i. Isolation ii. Safe places for young people iii. Economic participation iv. Creative economy, arts and culture v. Place and environment vi. Exercise & Recreation Whether you are seeking support in fundraising for core costs or have a specific project in mind either the organisation or the project must meet at least one of the above criteria The total amount available for this initiative is £34,000. In the current funding climate, we are aware that the call on this fund might exceed the resources available. In this case the Trust will keep, where appropriate, organisations expressions of interest and contact details should other funding become available. For more information on your eligibility for this programme, please read the programme guidelines. Community Fundraising Course To complement our Fundraising Support Progarmme, we are delivering a Community Fundraising Course, commencing in January 2024. This new 8-session practical course will support you to develop your fundraising skills and raise more money for your organisation. By the end of the course, you will have increased your understanding of the importance of values, safeguarding, health and safety, legal structures and monitoring and evaluation, theory of change and budgeting.
