Together with Everyone Active, we've distributed £30,000 in sports bursary funding for individuals and groups in 2018/19.

We provide bursaries of up to £500 for children and adults who want to take part in sports and fitness activities, and want to make use of the Westway Sports and Fitness facilities, but find it hard to pay the fees. The bursary award lasts for a 12 month period from date of award being given.
To be eligible you need to live within the Royal Borough of Kensington & Chelsea (RBKC).
There are two types of Bursary award:
- Training Bursary: Financial support for fitness membership or to sports programmes at Westway Trust's part & fitness facilities managed by Everyone Active.
- Coaching Bursary: Help towards paying for the cost of one to one sports coaching.
There are eligibility criteria, and evidence needs to be provided if you are shortlisted for an award. The Sports Bursary recipient (the recipient's family if under 18 years of age) must be:
- In receipt of one of the following benefits: Universal Credit, Housing Benefit, PIP, or Carers Allowance. You will need to provide a letter / formal notification from the current year with the name and address on it.
- Residents living in RBKC
- Demonstrate a commitment to sports and fitness/health
Applicants who are registered disabled or with a long term health condition are encouraged to apply.
We do not fund the cost of anything which has already taken place, been purchased or any accrued debts for activities.
