**Applications for this fund have now closed**

Up to £5,000 is available for projects, events and initiatives that improve local health and prosperity, or celebrate the  cultural heritage of the area. These are projects that improve the health, environmental or economic wellbeing of local people.

Who can apply?

Local social enterprises, and charitable, voluntary and community organisations working within the Royal Borough of Kensington & Chelsea (RBKC), with a particular focus on the communities living in North Kensington, in and around the Westway.

This fund is only open to organisations with an annual turnover of less than £100,000. Please note that you may be asked for evidence of your annual income if your application is successful.

What sort of projects are eligible?

The aim of the community investment grants programme is to provide small amounts of funding for one-off projects to help community organisations deliver meaningful benefits in the areas of economic, social and environmental wellbeing for the area in and around North Kensington. Last year we distributed £90,885 to 47 local projects. The community grants programme will sit alongside other investments the Trust is looking to make into the community during the coming year.

We will focus on making investments into six key priority areas, identified following consultation with local people over the past year. These are:

  1. Isolation
  2. Spaces for young people
  3. Economic participation
  4. Arts and culture
  5. Place and environment
  6. Physical and mental wellbeing

We are also keen to encourage local groups to work collaboratively in bringing proposals together.

The total amount available for this fund in 2020/21 is £50,000.

The deadline for applications is 9am on Monday 4 January 2021.

The decision-making panel will meet on 25 January, and the successful applicants will receive funding in February 2021.

Please read the guidance notes before applying.
