Portobello Film Festival returns for its 28th year from 31 August to 17 September.

Admission to all events is Free.

Portobello is UK’s premiere showcase of independent low budget films. This year sees a Renaissance in independent film after Covid and corporate shutdowns.

Every evening from 6pm at The Muse 269 Portobello Rd W11 from 1 to 16 August we screen state of art indie movies mostly shorts from Uk and London, and international movies from around the world.

The Festival opens on 31 August at The Gate Picturehouse Notting Hill where Terry Gilliam will introduce his masterpiece Brazil as a tribute to his friend Ian Holm.

The Festival closes on 17 September at The Gate Picturehouse again, with the Portobello Golden Trellick Award ceremony hosted by Jenny Runacre.Tickets are available free on the Gate Picturehouse website.
