Inclusive Performance Arts Project - Chickenshed KC
Spring 2011 sees the start of Chickenshed KC activities in Kensington & Chelsea and an exciting opportunity for schools, youth centres, community groups and residents to get involved in a new, local, inclusive community performing arts initiative.
Chickenshed is a model that has been developed over 35 years and which now has 19 projects across the UK with two in Russia. The flagship Chickenshed Theatre Company, based in Chase Side, north London, supported by Westway Development Trust, is now setting up a local Kensington and Chelsea project.
The Trust is committed to supporting the provision of high quality, inclusive arts initiatives particularly for those residents who do not have access to arts activities like these. Chickenshed KC activities kick off with a series of community workshops, at various locations across the borough as well as promotional and fundraising activities starting in spring 2011. The theatre training begins in September 2011 every Tuesday. Please see timetable below.
