 Information

The Trust works with developing projects which bring innovation and new services to the area and provide new resources within the voluntary sector. Examples of these range from:

  • Working with the voluntary sector to establish and develop Kensington & Chelsea Community Transport, providing group and individual services to all sectors of the community. This is now one of the larger community transport schemes in the country and the third largest in London.

  • Working with the local Moroccan community to establish services, these now range from the Moroccan Information & Advice Centre, to a Moroccan Women's Centre and supplementary schools.

  • Working with all migrant and refugee communities in the area to establish a Forum and a Resource Centre and a Consortium of Supplementary Schools to support their work and the services they are developing for their communities.

  • Working with older people to open up new horizons in retirement, from video making to computer literacy, from fitness to art classes, from travel trips to writers groups - this has led to the establishment of the Open Age Project, which now receives local and national recognition.

  • Helping and supporting training projects to develop new opportunities for local people, from video making to arts administration, from computing to sports and fitness.

  • Initiating arts in education programmes with early years in local schools, nurseries and playgroups, through story, song and movement - to develop children's self-expression and confidence with language and to engage with the diversity of their backgrounds, families and communities
