Grants Received
Westway Development Trust is able to generate much of its own income from a property portfolio. Only a small percentage of the Trust’s income from the year is derived from grants. Nonetheless these grants are vital for the delivery of specific projects.
•
During the year 2009/2010 we received £237,577 from the
Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea
. The majority of this is used to run the Trust’s Adult and Community Learning programme, but also went towards funding the Moroccan Supplementary School, Sports Development and the Trust’s annual bonfire.
•
We received £20,00 from
John Lyon’s Charity
which went towards funding PGFC’s Community Activities.
•
£91,006 came from various offices of the
Lawn Tennis Association
to part fund the vast Mini Tennis Programme and LTA Performance Programme at Westway Sports Centre.
•
London Southbank University donated £37,070 to fund the Community Tennis Programme, Community Girls’ Projects and climbing facilities.
•
NHS
Kensington and Chelsea contributed £30,000 towards the GP referral scheme at PGFC and £93,114 for the health trainer programme.
•The Lord's Taverners contributed £25,000 for cricket nets at Westway Sports Centre.
•
A host of smaller, but equally valuable awards came from the UK Fitness Network, Dalgarno Youth Project, Baraka Youth project, LDA, ASA and Waitrose, as well as a number of private donors.
Figures taken from the Annual Report year ending 31st March 2010.
