Franklin Stafford Partnership were architects to the scheme and responsible for much of the consultation process. The Prince of Wales unveiled a plaque when the Portobello Green scheme won a Civic Trust award. Westway Sports Pavilion, opened in 1982, funded by a grant from ILEA.
