The Trust is governed by its constitution adopted 05.02.1971, as amended, which establishes a Management Committee of 15 members; 7 elected annually by its 90 member organisations (which are locally active charities, community groups and similar bodies) and 7 are nominated by the Borough of Kensington & Chelsea; together they appoint an independent Chair. The Trust has 4 Sub-Committees; Sports & Recreation, Community, Education & Arts, Planning & Property Management and Finance & Staff. An Equal Opportunities Working Party also reports to the Management Committee.

Jon Rayman is a North Kensington resident living nearby to Trust land. He is a solicitor and practicing in a large city law firm. For six years he was a Trustee of the Portobello Trust and remains a Vice-President. For many years he was Vice Chair of FPC and FHSA and chair of numerous sub-committees of the Health Authority.

Fiona has lived in Notting Hill since 1998. She has been a Trustee since 2002 and is a vice-chairman of the Trust. She also chairs the Trust’s Community, Education and Arts sub-committee and sits on Finance & Staff sub-committee. Fiona has had an eclectic career, starting as a parliamentary researcher, after graduating from Edinburgh University with a degree in archaelogy and ancient history. She then worked as an editor and corporate communications specialist, both in the commercial and not-for-profit sectors. She took a Masters degree in business administration at London Business School. Fiona now has 3 children and is a councillor for Queensgate Ward in the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea and also the council's Cabinet Member for Housing Services, Adult Social Care, Public and Environmental Health. She comments "I believe the Trust has a hugely beneficial role to play within the borough but that role is only possible if underpinned by sound management. As a trustee, I am committed to maintaining good governance, financial responsibility, and an engaged, responsive and imaginative approach to local issues."

Terence was elected a ward councillor for Earls Court in 2000 and in the same year was appointed to the Management Committee of the Trust. He is the Lead Member for Planning and serves on the Licensing Panel and Planning Service Committee. He is also Vice Chair of the Education, Libraries & Arts Overview and Scrutiny Committee and sits on the Earl's Court Advisory Group and the Secondary School Working Party. Professionally, Terence is Director and sole owner of a property investment and development company and Director of various property management companies. As a Westway Development Trust Trustee he is a member of the Planning and Property Management Sub-committee. Terence is also currently serving as Chairman of the Governors of Ashburnam Primary School, Chairman of the Board of the Chelsea Theatre and a Trustee of the Earls Court & Olympia Charitable Trust. His main interests are the arts, architecture, theatre, opera and classical concerts.

David was born in Holland Park, and has lived in North Kensington for much of his life. He is a chartered accountant, though he now works as Chief Executive of a Groundwork Trust. Over the past 17 years, he has had a wide variety of commercial, financial and professional experience in both the private and the public sectors, in Britain and abroad (Australia and Germany). David has been a councillor for Norland ward since May 2002, and is currently serving on Health, Housing and Social Services OSC, and Tenants Consultative Committee in addition to Westway Development Trust. From 1994-2002, he was on the committee of the Colville Nursery Centre, including 4 years as Treasurer. His particular local interests are housing and seeking to overcome the challenges of the inner city.

Gail lives locally and has both a personal and professional interest in regeneration, planning and urban design. She became a trustee in 2003. She is a property and regeneration consultant, having previously worked for English Partnerships, Charterhouse Estates and Morgan Grenfell Lawrie. She was involved in establishing Notting Hill Preparatory School in the former Campden Charities building on Lancaster Road thereby maintaining its educational use. Sitting on the Trust's Planning and Property Management Committee she is keen to apply her professonal knowledge to develop the Trust's capacity to delivery high quality community facilities.

Martin has been a resident of the Borough for over thirty years. He served as a Councillor for the North Stanley Ward from 1981-1986 and was Deputy Mayor in 1985-6. He has been a Trustee of the Trust since 1981 and Chair of the Planning and Property Sub-committee since 1982. By profession he is a Lloyd's broker specialising in the insurance of Works of Art for museums and galleries, private collectors and art and antique dealers. He is a Trustee of The Nicholas Freeman Memorial Trust and Chairman of the Trustees of the St Stephen's Endowment Fund. His interests include the visual arts, music, gardening, eating and drinking!

Peter has lived in the Borough since 1990 and has been a Trustee and a member of the Finance and Staff Sub-committee, since 2000. He was educated at Oxford University, where he gained a degree in engineering, economics and management and subsequently completed a Master's degree in Business Administration at Harvard Business School. Having begun his career as a management consultant, Peter is now a director of a leading private equity firm investing in management buy outs across Europe. Peter is a non-executive director of several companies, together employing over 8000 staff, including the UK's largest private sector operator of Local Authority leisure facilities. He is also a governor of St Thomas More School, Chelsea where he chairs the premises committee.

Allison Botero is an American who has been living locally in W11 for the past year. She has worked as a business strategy consultant for 6 years, the last 4 of which have been with IBM. In that capacity she advised businesses ranging from start-ups to global leaders on issues from helping them evaluate market growth opportunities to enabling operational improvements. Her current role with IBM is as an Associate Partner and Global Strategist for one of the industry groups which involves her in setting short-term and long-term strategic directions. Allison has a strong interest in giving back to the community through volunteer activities and has experience from the USA of setting up projects to provide business support to community organisations. As a regular user of the Westway Sports Centre, she is very keen to offer her business background and experience in a voluntary capacity to assist the Trust with its developments.

Eddie Adams was elected to serve as a Trustee in 2006. Eddie lives locally and has long been involved in a range of local projects, notably with the Gloucester Road Reminiscence Group and recently in coordinating the Spanish Civil War memorial mosaic on Portobello Road adjacent to the Trust's recently refurbished Portobello Green development of boutiques featuring the work of young designers. Eddie has also stood in local elections on a green socialist ticket.

David Oliver, a chartered accountant, is the Finance Director for a multi-site outdoor advertising company that has doubled in size in the last 6 years. His team of 90 is responsible for finance, IT, HR, legal, pensions and facilities. He is a mentor on the London First Police mentoring scheme. Before that he worked for 3i, the quoted private equity organisation, assessing business plans and helping management teams buy the companies they worked for. His real interest is growing and developing people and projects. David is a keen sportsman coaching childrens rugby in the winter and cricket in the summer. As a novice climber, trying to keep up with his daughter he is a regular user of the Westway Sports Centre.

Mary lives locally and is a regular user of Portobello Green Fitness Club and the Westway Sports Centre. Currently working as an Events Co-ordinator/Assistant Office Manager, she has initiated and organised a variety of arts and sports sponsorship events which have involved, among others, the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art, the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra, the Royal Opera House and the Rugby World Cup. In her own time she raises money for charities each year through a variety of fitness challenges - from sponsored swims (BT Swimathon) for the sports council's work with people with disabilities, to 1067 lengths of a 33 metre pool for ASPIRE who support people with spinal injuries, to trekking in Madagascar for the deaf/blind association. She is enthusiastic about getting involved with the Trust as a charity on her doorstep.
